Compare the workflow, not the promise

A useful comparison starts with the job you need done: revising a passage, reviewing a document or managing an institutional process. We compare only capabilities supported by current product evidence and linked first-party sources. We do not rank products by invented detector scores, unverified discounts or claims that rewriting proves authorship.

Cortex vs GPTZero: revision workflow or document review?

Cortex brings rewriting and draft comparison into a student-facing web workflow; GPTZero focuses on document detection and writing review. Cortex’s detector calls GPTZero’s API, so these are not two independent detector opinions. Choose around your actual task and the integrations you need, not a promised score or a claimed winner.

How we choose what to publish

Each article must answer a distinct question, cite its sources and identify what Cortex actually supports. We separate provider claims from observed product behaviour and do not use detector outcomes as proof of authorship. New comparisons and explainers are added only after their evidence has been reviewed, rather than producing pages by swapping product names.

For a writing decision, start with revision and source quality. For a disputed detector result, start with what the score means and your genuine draft history. If your instructor prohibits AI assistance, a tool cannot grant an exception.
